Claudia, our hostess, was wonderful in welcoming us to her hacienda. Marguerite, our maid and fabulous cook, was so accomodating and even gave us recipes! It was fun to go grocery shopping with her. The house was awesome, more than we expected, and so roomy and airy, except for a few in the rear. 2 kitchens wonderfully equipped, so if we were there longer, we really could have whipped up some more comidas! Pool and situation right on the beach was great to go beach combing and snorkeling. Was very windy so didn't get a chance to use the kayaks but wished to. I certainly want to go back. And oh yes, having a masseuse set up on the balcony for those who imbibed was wonderrful. And such an amenity to have a US phone to simply call on! Thank you so much.

They are not kidding about the speed traps: slow down, it is expensive.

We have rented this property twice for our extended family Thanksgiving vacation. There were 6 adults and 8 kids ranging from 2 years old up to 17. Everyone had a blast. The teenagers walk to Akumal beach whenever they wanted and everyone could just hang out at the house. We did go to Akumal beach but we drove. The kayaking was fantastic in front of the house and right around the bend you could do kayak surfing. We even went night kayaking with the full moon and it was the best. I would really recommend this home for a vacation destination, it was very comfortable and quiet. We even went to [...]and bought 2 turkeys for our Thanksgiving dinner!!
