The beach is fantastic and great for swimming and lounging. You are able to walk/run on the beach for a long time! The swimming is much better than the beaches south of Akumal because of the lack of coral. Because the beach has mostly small hotels, the beach is a bit busier than the ones North. It does give you great access to restaurants but it is a trade off for the number of people. Many cenotes are super close and it is great to have the town of Tulum a few miles away.
We had 2 families stay. One used the upper level and one the lower level. The spaces are separated by an outside staircase that was convenient for bedtime but sometimes inconvenient during the day or dinnertime.
Being on the beautiful beach really made the trip and we all had the best time just hanging out there.

The house is gorgeous, the view from the deck is like a postcard of 'the perfect vacation getaway'. We absolutely loved this house and would recommend it highly, especially for a couple of families with preteens or teens, as the kids can hang out downstairs and have privacy! There was a small problem with the fridge but we were given lots of ice/propane coolers and a fair discount due to the problem, which was very kind (sure it will be fixed soon).
