Comments about LocoGringo Villa Tres Delfines:

We just returned home last night after spending seven spectacular days at Tres Delfines and had a wonderful experience there! It was myself, my wife and our two sons who are 8 and 6. This was the PERFECT location for our young family! There is plenty of room in the house, the upstairs master suite is great, and a beach in the backyard topped off with excellent snorkeling for the entire family, including the two boys, was great!

I like staying somewhere with decent waves crashing in to play with but that would be overboard for my two new swimmers. Solimon Bay, which this home is located on, is protected by a reef so the water was nice and calm for the boys. Right out from the house while snorkeling, we spotted numerous fish and a few rays! Two kayaks located at the house allowed us to paddle out into the middle of the bay to a buoy for even more snorkeling!

When finished in the water for a bit, ample and comfortable chairs and hammocks were abound on the property! At low tide/sunset, we'd walk the beach and find even more sealife, including a few Harlequin Starfish on the northern point of the bay!

What really pushes Tres Delfines over the top are the two totally awesome caretakers, Christobal and Olivia! Together they take wonderful care of the grounds and the inside of the house, cleaning daily, doing dishes, fixing beds, AWESOME! Every morning we were greeted by Olivia's warm smile and a "Buenas dias, como estas?!" My wife, who speaks Spanish decently, had numerous conversations with Olivia and cried when we departed. They were a wonderful blessing during our stay! For cheaper than what you can eat in Tulum, Olivia will prepare fantastic meals for you as well! The best steak I've ever had in my life!

We rented a car for the week which took us to Tulum and Akumal for groceries, restaurants, shopping and trips to the Coba ruins and the Dos Ojos cenote. Both definite hits! The house is full of tourist/adventure books about the area and Arul, the owner, sent out a great list of things to do in the vicinity too.

The only downside, and it was so minor, is where you enter the water, it is pretty rocky. Have your flippers on or some water socks and you'd be fine. So again, this isn't the place to just go swim and jump around in waves, but it's awesome for snorkeling. I wish it was both but with our young boys, it couldn't have been better!

I'd easily recommend Tres Delfines to friends and we hope to visit again in the not to distant future!

Comments about LocoGringo Villa Tres Delfines:

We loved our stay at Villa Tres Delfines. Great house and beach away from the crowds. Soliman Bay was fantastic. The caretakers are very nice and obviously happy to have you there. If I had one complaint it would be the rough road to the house from the highway but that was a very small inconvenience for such a wonderful vacation. The kids loved it there and so did we. Hope to go back one day soon.

We have stayed at Tres Delfines three times. We have 3 small children and it is a perfect getaway for us. The caretakes, Olivia and Christobel, are just so lovely and Olivia's cooking is superb. You can relax at the beach, or snorkel in the ocean or cenotes or visit ruins or go shopping! So much to do closeby. I can't recommend Tres Delfines enough!

The location was really great for the week we spent with another family in August last year. We found it convenient to drive into nearby Tuluum, gorcery shopping in Tuluum was easy and reasonable, stunning beaches and snorkling nearby, wonderful people and very friendly housekeepers. We enjoyed the house, the bedrooms were comfortable. The beach is in a bay area and clean despite the seaweed that is sometimes a bother. My wife and kids loved it too and we would go again in a heart-beat.
