The only thing I can think of as a con, is the distance to the bay, especially if you have no car. That being said where else can you swim in the ocean...gets rough...and snorkel free every day, or all day in Yalku,and then come back and lounge in your own private pool. There is alot of shade and privacy at this villa, and this has to be one of the cleanest homes we have stayed in. The caretakers are sweet people so tip them well. They are the reason this home is so clean and well taken care of. We like this home because it has just two bedrooms and we are empty nesters still wanting the luxury of a private home. Also know that you will not find any goodies left over here like coffee, tea, foil, ziploks, etc, The kitchen is a bit spare for me as I love to cook. Just know before you go to throw in some bags, foil, etc..

First of all, the pictures DO NOT do it justice! Las Vigas was beyond all expectation, a beautiful property set away from the tourism of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. You may be located in the heart of the Mayan Riviera, surrounded by ancient ruins and deep cenotes, but not leaving the property because it forces you to relax and you won't feel guilty later.
As I type this, I now wish I wasn't as I want to keep it our little secret and you can't rent it!

The house was even better than the web pictures portrayed. Wake up every morning with the sunrise and go to sleep at night to the sounds of the water. Lounge on your own private patio, with your very own infinity pool and waive to the snorklers as they swim by.
Access to the lagoon is better when the water is calm, but we figured it out. We were there in November and the lagoon was not crowded at all.
It truly is how the other half lives.

Location is perfect and the snorkeling was great.
House is clean and nicely decorated. The view was breathtaking, to say the least. We plan to go back.

I really shouldn't tell what a wonderful relaxing place this is. We loved the local ambiance and privacy of this little villa that sits right on YalKu Lagoon. That staff was very friendly and quietly went about their duties. They had added a pool after we made our reservation and it was just right for relaxing in, plus your just a few yards from the lagoon where you can spend hours snorkeling. Would I tell a friend...definately! But I really want to keep it just our little secret.
