Our family of 6 spent 6 nights at Casa Akumal. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was amazing.

We loved being able to step right out the back door onto the beach. We had our own private stretch of sand with plenty of places to lounge. The beach has a lot of coral, so I recommend wearing water shoes. The waves are calm enough for snorkeling and the kayak was lots of fun.

The house is close to area attractions: We went to Xel-Ha (one of the highlights of our trip), X-Cacel (a turtle preserve with good body-surfing waves), and Tulum and Coba.

The owner was super helpful with any concerns or questions we had. Would love to return some day!

The stay was exactly what we were looking for, we needed to rest but also wanted to visit around, Tulum, his wonderful site, nice restaurants and beautiful beaches are 20 minutes to drive, as well as Puerto Aventuras (don't miss the dolphins) and Playa del Carmen. Also very good restaurants in the village of Akumal, which is a lovely place with a friendly beach ! The villa is located in a pretty and quite place in front of the sea. It is very well cleaned every day. The rooftop pool has amazing views on the sea and the jungle. And finally, the owners are charming persons. We surely will go back there !
