Charming hotel in a semi-rustic setting. The view from the room we stayed in was directly out to the ocean. Hard to imagine a more direct ocean setting. Room was private, spacious, well kept up. The staff/owners were very friendly and had good recommendations for dining and activities in town; they even cooked us a gourmet dinner the last night of our stay. The hotel is towards the southern end of the cabanas section of the Tulum beach area -- a wonderful setting somewhat apart from the main resort areas. Close enough to town to take a taxi in for dinner, or even run or take bikes in (we ran it once, about 11k). Close enough to the Sian Kian nature reserve to hike or ride bikes down into this area.
