Comments about LocoGringo Los Lirios Hotel Cabanas:
We thought the restaurant was excellent and the service on the beach, unexpected! Our upper level room offered an excellent view of the beach and sea. The breezes were great, we never needed to use the A/C. Good location, walking distance to other beach clubs, and not far from the biosphere. I rated it average because it seemed pretty comparable to other properties in the area. A big advantage is 24-hour electricity if you need it. We did not.

Waitstaff and maids are exceptional and front desk personnel are very helpful. The manager has taken time to get to know us. You can get ice for your cooler for beach/drinks on request from the kitchen; bring a big bag with you from Tulum when you arrive to help replenish supplies. Great food and the best stretch of beach and palms available.
Upstairs king-bed-suites are worth the extra $, are VERY romantic. Tip daily for extra touches!
