I stayed at the Tankah Inn in mid February, 2011 and found it to be clean, friendly and low key. The price includes a full breakfast served until 11 am. No dinner or bar, however. The location is right on the beach where you can swim off shore to good snorkeling areas. There are kayaks available if you would rather paddle out and snorkle from closer to the barrier reef. The dive shop has closed. The owner has discovered after ten years of operating the Inn that he is alergic to the sun. He is looking for a buyer. I guess that is why he has not kept up with the dive shop or the restuarant options. The rooms are standard, with fridges and wi fi. All rooms have a king sized bed.The area is very quiet, about three miles north of Tulum, an easy drive, and away from the noise and bustle of Beach Tulum. There is a great cenote just a short walk down the road with good snorkeling and exploring.

This was our third time at the Tankah Inn B&B, and can't wait to go back again and again. Excellent rooms, staff, breakfasts made to order, great snorkeling (tons of coral, fish and huge rays) and so peaceful, especially under the palapa out front, swaying in the hammocks. At night, (the hammocks are doubles) what a romantic place to stargaze with your loved one. The prices make it one of the best values in RM. When we were there all 5 rooms were booked, and everyone felt the same way. We highly reccomend the Tankah Inn.
