We loved this place. It was a get away wknd...and we could not have asked for anything more. It was clean, on the beach, and right next door to the most happening restaurant/bar in Akumal! The rooms were small, but that didn't bother us because we weren't there to hang out in rooms. We only used it to sleep!

We loved waking up the view of the beach just a few yards from us...and enjoying a Mimosa on the patio.

Great staff! So friendly! So helpful!

Right on the beach. Lovely property with good staff. Perfect for the independent traveler who wants to avoid the glitz of the big resorts. Very low-key, with easy access to two good restaurants and terrific snorkeling.

Not what I expected, will never go back

I arrived late at night and they only had one room for us when we had reserved two rooms. Very ugly rooms, dirty old towels

I have stayed at Vista del Mar Hotel various times and it fills all of my needs at an affordable cost. You can't beat the view, service, location. I can walk out 24/7 to snorkel with the turtles (head right).

Location is pretty isolated for anyone without a car, therefore a lot of walking or reliance on taxi service, which turned out to be rather expensive.
