We had such a wonderful time at La Bahia that we extended our trip to stay longer. Our rooftop condo was incredible. Waking in the morning, I could see the Caribbean Sea and the jungle from my bed without rising and hear the waves gently rolling in on Half Moon Bay. We saw Pelicans, Frigate Birds, and even an Osprey with a big fish in her talons flying overhead from our living room and balcony during our stay. We also watched turtles and rays in the bay from our balcony.
We had our condo pre-stocked with groceries and took a shuttle from the Cancun airport, which made for immediate relaxation upon arrival. An easy walk to restaurants and a small grocery, but we rented bicycles for the week to get up to Akumal Beach and down to Yal Ku Lagoon.
The front desk was very helpful in contacting the airlines to change our reservations.
The only reason I did not mark it 5 star ("Perfect. It doesn't get any better") is because the bathroom is very small and the shower apparently feeds from the ground and took a very long time for hot water to reach us and water pressure was very low. After the first morning, we learned to turn on the on water a few minutes before we went in and then barely add cold water until the temperature was right. We didn't let it bother us because we have stayed in Mexico many times and figured it was a small inconvenience. Also the air temperature is so pleasant you don't need to stand under a torrent of water to be comfortable and the shower stall is quite spacious.
We loved our week at La Bahia!

This is truly one of the best vacation experiences I have ever had. Relax on the pristine beaches and enjoy the glorious views. I have come back to this wonderful condo and will continue to come back for years to come.

A comfortable escape place, 2nd floor condo gives a great northern view, trees straight out, great southern view. Bird,snorkeler,and weather watching. RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Lots of books in the 2nd bedroom. Beds are hard, the way I like 'em. Windy weather and you can go to sleep listening to the waves crash on the beach. Cooked a few things, kitchen workable. Living room needs new chairs and cushions, but I was only stuck inside one night when a rain squall blew thru! All in all, a perfect Mexican beach condo!

We are a couple in our 40s and stayed at La Bahia without our children on the trip. We enjoyed our stay at La Bahia very much. The condo accomodations are not pretentious but are on the comfortable side which we found perfect for beach side use. The units have all the furnishings of home such as kitchens, appliances, full size refrigerator, stereo and even some good books. The large windows and balconies give great views of the bay. The beach is right outside your door and a blender is included in the unit.
