La Iguana is central to many activities. You can walk to Yal-Ku lagoon, Xel-Ha is 10 minutes away. The snorkeling in front of the condo is great. Shell hunting is awesome to. I especially like the fact that it is quiet and relaxing. I stayed the month of May and loved every minute of it.

Comments about LocoGringo La Iguana Condominiums:

We recently stayed inVilla 6 on the 3rd floor. We were aware that there was no A/c, but it also had very little circulation. The only front window that opened all the way was at an angle where the wind blow past instead of into the Villa. The decor is rather dated and the towels and bedding were pretty bad. Also there was only 1 fork in the whole Villa; the friendly staff resolved that. The Las Sirenas Villas next door are much better value and have a great pool. On the plus side, GREAT VIEW

Very pretty setting and right on the water. Our
condo needed some repairs. The refrigerator didn't work. They brought us a different one, and
it didn't work much better. I would consider returning, but I would get a unit with air conditioning.

Hector was super helpful and friendly. We were on the 3rd floor so lugging suitcases was not fun but he helped us. Floors get a bit slippery when coming in wet from swimming/snorkeling. You can walk right out into the bay and snorkel - that was awesome! The views are breathtaking! It's close to Yal ku lagoon (good)but far from the "grocery stores" in the main part of town (not so good) so rent a bike or golf cart to get back and forth. All in all this was a wonderful place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to book there again.
