The Hemingway provided a beautiful honeymoon location for us. The beach is amazing, and had very few people on it, making it very intimate and peaceful for us. The staff was very kind, and the food was definitely the best on the entire strip. (We heard this from others as well!)My only disappointment was just how "rustic" the rooms are. Although, my husband didnt mind it, I was a little uncomfortable with the bugs, etc. we had in our room. Other than that, everything was just perfect.

Lovely little garden spot right on the gorgeous beach in a quiet section of the strip. Rooms of good size and pretty, though you better bring your own reading lights. We had a cabin in the shade with chairs and a hammock on a deep porch, and it was heaven. Staff very pleasant, manager charming. Food excellent Italian fare, though the waiter liked to tell us what to eat and look at you disapporvingly if you don't agree. Had some money stolen from room (was in a shirt pocket)on the last night, so be sure not to carry too much cash. Since the restaurant only takes cash, we recommneded hotel get a safe for guests. I thought the place was expensive at $160 for what you got, but then again, last time I was in Tulum 20 years ago, cabanas were $20 a night!
