Decent, but not memorable

Comments about LocoGringo Luna Azul casitas:

Pros: ok layout with enough windows, everything in kitchen functioned. Lots of shelf space for personal items and food.

Cons: seems like owners threw it together without much thought - things don't match or are pretty old and very worn/stained. Toilet didn't quite flush properly. Wish there was a place to hang wet clothes. cars park in front of casita - so you can hear people come and go.

With attention to the amenities (not necessarily new, just higher quality and well cared for) we'd consider visiting again. It was the combination of the cons that makes us not want to come back. With a little TLC that could easily change.

Just a thought: The casita would be so much quieter (and appealing) if the one car parking space directly in front was turned into a walled in patio.

We stayed only one night since we were on our way to the southern part of the Yucatan. So for that, it was just fine but I would not recommend it for a long stay--too small and too expensive for what you get.

This was a wonderful place at a great location. If you want to hang on the beach and watch turtles swim in the bay-- I highly recommend.
This location is close to resturants and little local stores.

We have stayed at Luna Azul 3 times now. It is clean, comfortable and a quiet place to stay. Since it is just me and my husband, the studio apartments are perfect for us, although there are larger condos available for families. The staff is friendly, and they are there if you need them every day until around 5pm. What we like about Luna Azul is that the beach is quiet and not overcrowded. Good restaurants are within walking distance.
