Fantastic Property. Very nice gardens. Well maintained.

However rooms at Kantenah need refurbishment. Room furnishing is already old, and you see it ....

We visited a friend at the Grand Palladium Riviera and it was a world of difference. If I ever come back, I´ll chose the Riviera.

We stayed here for 10 days with our 5 year old daughter in the Kantena section in a huge suite. The room was very big with a very nice, jungle view balcony. Stocked mini fridge, animal towel art every other day (thanks to the tips I'm sure), huge bath tub & a separate shower. She had her own room basically which was great for her & us. We were in bldg 51 which is very close to the beach & a mere 2-3 minute stroll to the pool & buffets/bars. We usually stay in condo's or villas, when travelling with others, but wanted to spoil her with the kids club option this time around. Who knew we were to be the spoiled ones, she never wanted to leave the kids club. Ana, Natalia and all others in the club were simply so great with the kids, they work unbelievably hard. We would go to get her to come play with us but she didn't want to leave, so we'd end up just relaxing all day at the pool near the beach bar. We did enjoy the beach over on the Kantenah side right next to the bar but mostly stayed at the pool to be near the club :). Decent enough snorkeling & the beach is very nice. We did manage to steal her away from Ana for a couple of trips to the beaches of Tulum & lunch in the pueblo which we always love. It was hard for us to convince ourselves to break away though :)

There was not one staff member that wasn't friendly, even after being at work for over 12 hours a day, including the gardeners who work very early in the AM, always greeted with a Buenos días. The grounds were beautiful, easy to walk & enjoy. Didn't like the crocodile 'habitat' but that's just me. We were so happy with the buffet selections but we LOVE salads, fruits & veggies. The salad bar was always fresh & so many options to choose from, even had toasted pecan pieces! The daughter always had something good to choose from as well, fish or chicken grilled to order or already prepared in heat pans & naturally hot dogs or hamburgers. The drink selections included top brands which is always nice to have. Can't believe it but we are planning on returning to an AI for our next trip, to THIS AI.

The Grand Palladium Colonial/Kantenah is a very large and well maintained resort. The jungle is close - lush foliage, interesting animals are close at hand. The variety of included water sports is wonderful - or you can just relax on a beautiful white sand beach. The White Sands and Riviera portions of the resort are within walking distance and are beautiful in their own right. I strongly recommend you choose the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya complex for your next getaway!

Large resort but totally manageable. Be prepared to walk - it just means you can eat more :)!! We've been twice now and look forward to another trip in the future. We love the variety of beaches and pools - some quiet, some busy, some near, some far, salt water pool v. main pools v. quiet adult-oriented pools. And, there are always activities if you want to find something to do - volleyball, trivia, dance and language lessons, ping pong, darts, etc. But, you can also find quiet and solitude if you want it!

Breakfast and lunch buffets restaurants were HOT! Poor air conditioning. Front desk staff not friendly, almost to the point of rude! Drinks lacking alcohol, no top shelf brands. Food average.
