Comments about LocoGringo Gran Bahia Principe Tulum:

This was our second visit and we were equally pleased with our experience this time. It's a great resort for a couple looking to relax. Booking was easy and the service from LocoGringo was outstanding. Food was great. Service at the resort was friendly. Rooms, restaurants, and other resort areas were very clean. Resort location was close to our desired tour destinations. The only area which might be improved was the furniture/beds in the rooms which were comfortable, but are starting to show their age. Can't beat this resort for it's proximity to the beach! We will be back!

Comments about LocoGringo Gran Bahia Principe Tulum:

This was our 10th to the Yucatan, our third trip to the resort. We had brought another couple with us, and it was their first trip to the area. We chose GBP specifically because of the golf and because it's a great place to experience the Yucatan & all-inclusive resorts for the first time. The place is quite impressive, and the couple we brought were actually stunned by the level of service, quality and the choices of the food, and the amenities. We felt that the theme/specialty restaurants were spectacular. The golf course was very beautiful - every hole was a picture postcard. It's very challenging for a resort course, and it was not cheap - but it we had a great couple of rounds.
On the down side, we found the entertainment / shows to be very very loud, with a lot of goofy sexual innuendo. After the first couple of nights we skipped the show, but it was so loud that if you were in a building anywhere near the theatre (and we were), you were kept awake by the shows. We also were approached daily by time-share and condo salesmen (the GBP is selling RCI time-shares and Golf course vacation condos).

Comments about LocoGringo Gran Bahia Principe Tulum:

This is a LARGE resort, 3 resorts in one. Our stay was in the Tulum section, seemed quieter than Akumal or COBA. Visited COBA area, lots of mesquitos (or something that bit) and a shuttle ride to the beach. Tulum Hacienda area uncrowded, beach was great. Food at all three resorts FANTASTIC. Staff very friendly. All buildings look similar, easy to get lost at first (all three resorts have similar buildings). Doesn't appear many units are ocean view, but a short walk or shuttle ride and you're there. We didn't notice any noise through walls or ceiling. Prepare to climb 1-3 flights of stairs if you don't get downstairs unit. View doesn't really change between floors - lots of greenery, very restful. Queen beds seemed hard to get, but full pushed together was comfortable. We enjoyed being away from party atmosphere, but you can take part in that if wanted, it's there, just away from rooms so we thought it was great. Ala-Carte rest. easy to get into if you book early. Buffets were fresh and a great variety, very clean.
